Stumbling on Happiness
Book #3 of 2012: Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert
Not exactly what I thought it would be about based on the title. But then the author explains why one should not judge a book by its cover.
In my opinion, the book is more about the brain's trajectory of information and imagery. Fascinating facts, filled with nerdy jokes and plenty of examples.
Don’t let the beginning chapters deter you from finishing this book; I promise it becomes thought provoking.

Statement Book List
I have a goal to reach and that is to build an extensive collection of books. I have a nice collection so far of Art, Photography, Business, Short Stories, Novels, and Self-Help books.
For the past two years, I've challenged myself to read at least one more book than the previous year. In 2011, I read four books, therefore, this year's goal is to read at least 5 or more.
While completing my 30 DAY CHALLENGE in January, I listen to the audio version of Steve Jobs autobiography by Walter Isaacson. Simply Great! Steve Jobs was a complex individual that always pushed the envelop and expected nothing less than perfection.
I have just finished reading 'Be Who You Want, Have What You Want' by Chris Prentiss. At the end of each chapter, the author issues you a homework assignment that must be completed before continuing to the next chapter. If you are interested in pushing yourself and becoming the best individual that you can be, I highly recommend this book.

Mission Accomplished
My 30 DAY CHALLENGE

The definition of a challenge is ‘A test of one's abilities or resources in a demanding but stimulating undertaking'. That is exactly what I put my artistic skills through for the past 30 days. Hand-making a piece of jewelry everyday was only part of the challenge. Sharing my experience socially and updating my website was as much a task. And I did it all for the love of my passion and to challenge myself and bring about inspiration. Mission accomplished, it worked.

There would be no progress in life without challenges. I hope to have inspired someone to do the same in their life and challenge themselves and their abilities. Unveil a new talent, discover your strengths, stimulate your mind and become a better version of yourself. It takes time and dedication but if I did it, so can you.

I met my two goals in this challenge:
I was consistent and never missed a day. And my first collection for 2012 is underway.

I found that I creatively gravitate towards aspects of the Indian culture and I even played Bollywood music while I worked. The first women’s collection for 2012 (unnamed) will feature simple but greatly detailed necklaces. The collection is split in two: Precious and Semi-Precious Gems.
That is all I will share for now.
